Have you thought of Solid State Drives yet?
Yes the age of Fast and Reliable data is finally here. Instead of relying on Hard Disk Drive that have a motor with platters and moving parts, we now have another Option? Solid State Drives - SSDs are similar to Flash or Thumb drives in that they do not have moving parts and typically last five plus years with continual use. Program loading and Data query is almost instantaneous, compared to HDD that stores data on multiple platters and must retrieve that data before loading.
Sounds Great ... but not without a Cost. Currently the largest SSD is 1 TB and the smallest is 40 GB, but the Cost of this technology is $1.00 a GB. Which is significant compared to a HDD which cost $.01 a GB and can be as large as 4 TB.
